Hey Boos!!! I am on double duty tonight, two post back to back at 3:01 am. Last night I went to the Comedy Zone for one of my chica's birthday to see comedian Corey Holcomb. It's not that often that I go out, so I  took it upon myself to get my cute cute on, and if I have to say so myself I make white look good.

Church Uniform!!!

Hey Boos!!! A little riddle for you guys today. What is black and white and blue all over? Meeee!!! Today I am wearing the in color for spring/summer, black & white for Style Me Friday. However, I am feeling a little blue, but we'll get to that later. My question for today is did black & white ever go out of style? I can recall back in the day at many church events you were told to wear black and white. If you were singing in the choir, ushering, praise dancing, or giving a speech black & white was the go to colors. The crazy part was your Momma never had to buy you anything new, because you always had black and white in your closet...lol!!! Life was so simple then sometimes I miss it. (SN: Why did you have to wear white for communion)? It seems to me like the colors never went out of style, but if the fashion gods need to feel as if they brought it back, I'll let them have this one.

On to the blue part of my day. While attending lunch with Veronica (my FRIEND) my phone dropped and shattered. It was a man down, code 10 situation (in my Frankie voice). I was in such disbelief that I looked at it on the ground for a while. I am addicted to my phone and I am always on , so maybe God wants me to give my mouth and fingers a rest. I remeber there was time I didn't have a cellphone, and now I can't live without mine. I need all the saints of the church to pray my strength in the Lord and pray for my phone...lol!!!

 



To add insult to injury it also rained all day long, so I wasn't able to get a lot of great pics, and you would never believe that the sun is out as I am typing this post. However, I am greatful for all these crazy moments, because if they don't happen I would have nothing to blog about.

War at Work!!!

Hey Boos!!! Today I felt like I was going to war at work. Recently my uncle passed and I went to his funeral in NY. I had three days of bearevement, and was told to bring a letter back from the funeral home. I returned to work this week with my letter and my job is now playing with my money, because I haven't gotten paid for my bearevement days. I felt like going to the HR office and pulling a Biggie Smalls  (Kick in the door, wavin' the four-four. All you heard was Poppa don't hit me no more...lol!) I didn't pull a Biggie, but if they don't have my money by Monday I might be pulling a Cleo from Set it Off. I am just joking, but I am serious about my money. All in all I was upset about  my money, but I pulled off my camo outfit of the day. This look has definitely been mine and others favorite look.

Baby I'ma be your Motivation!!!

It's Monday time to make the donuts, so git up git out and git somethin. The somethin I got this morning was a burst of cold air. Fall has made its presence known in the Queen City and I wanted to ignore it and stay in my bed.

I am glad I ignored the feeling of staying home, because if I missed work I would have missed the surprise waiting for me. Steve at my job who is a healthy eater, was wearing a great camouflage jacket. SN: One day I would like to be like Steve, but I am enjoying cake, chips, and Pepsi to much for today to be that day. I told Steve how great he looked in his jacket, and he told me it was me who inspired the jacket. I have my own camouflage jacket that I wear a lot, because camo is the new black to me.

 

 

 

 

If you know me you know that I am extra vain and I got a big ego (in my Beyonce voice.) However, this wasn't a moment when my head swelled up and popped. It made me feel good that someone would like at me and be inspired. There was a time I didn't have the confidence I have now, and instead of inspiring someone else I could only be inspired.

 



 

Vain Moment: To every person that has played a part in shaping the confident woman that I am today, I say Thank You.
