Leave It to Tan O

It's Hump Day Party People! This means the work week is almost over, and I am excited. I am blessed to have a job, but baby some days it's unbearable. I am ready to win the lottery and spend my days hanging with "The Best Part Of My Day" my Hubby.

In honor of Hump Day I decided to channel my inner June Cleaver, and wore one of my favorite fall trends.....Peplum and Pearls.

Dress:Dots, Shoes: Newport News

Please know I'm the modern age June Cleaver. I am a sexy plus size Diva who works, hates cooking, has a shopping addiction, loves talking about sex, and I make my kids clean up. All things that 1960s June wouldn't be caught dead being or doing, but thank God for change.

Vain Moment: I took a picture with my next door neighbor, because today was her birthday. After seeing the picture I realized I must have been a beautiful baby, because baby look at me now.

Until the next blog. Miracles & Blessings

The Wheels on the Bus, Go Round and Round!!

Happy Monday Party People!! I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend. My weekend was spent in search for a new car, and I am still in search. These folks act like they don't know a sista got a shopping addiction (sniff, sniff, scratch, scratch.) I can't spend all my little pennies on an expensive car, because Momma need new shoes and my baby girl needs a new wig.

Since I am without a vehicle I had to take the bus to work, but I am a New Yorker I am use to public transportation, so I thought I was going to be fine. Girlfriend-Boos, I was so wrong, the first day I take the bus it rains and I only had one umbrella to share between myself and my little princess. This country living of driving everywhere has spoiled me and I wanted to cry right at the bus stop.

Two things saved me from a complete meltdown. 1st: My princess who sang a song she made up about the rain falling on her shoes. 2nd: I realized I had been through worst things than waiting for the bus, so I put my big girl panties on and got over myself. I love that at 30 something God is still growing me up.

Jacket: Dots, Shirt: Fashion to Figure
Jeans: Dots, Necklace: Dots, Shoes:Rainbow

Vain Moment:  I figure if I am going to ride the bus I might as well look good.

Until the next blog. Miracles & Blessings

Happy Thrift Day!!

I love the last Wednesday of every month, but this Wednesday was extra special. It was over 80 degrees in Charlotte. I got to enjoy the summer weather, wore a sundress, and went thrifting.

Dress: Conway, Sandals: Target

The last Wednesday of every month Value Village a local thrift store in Charlotte has 50% off their merchandise. After work my girlfriend and I headed there with her 4 year old and my 8 year old. Let's just say that was the worst idea, because you know with kids unless it's about them they could careless. In order to stop all the complaining we left sooner than I wanted to leave, but I managed to grab two pieces that I love.

They don't look like much, but a Diva got plans.

Vain Moment: Once I got home I paraded around in front of my mirror telling myself how good I looked in my blazer  .

Tales of a Car Accident

Happy Monday!!! I know it's time to start the hustle and bustle of the work week , so hopefully you had a great weekend. My weekend started great and ended with a bang...LITERALLY!!

The Southern Women's Show was in Charlotte this weekend. My sister and I was suppose to attend. I was looking like "EVERYTHING". SN: Everything means Divalicious, Fabulous, Hot, Gorgeous, Fierce, It, Bam, Sada and any other adjective that is complimentary rolled into one, i.e, "Everything."

                                     Dress:Dots, Jacket:Dots, Scarf:Rugged Warehouse
Purse: Avon, Sunnies: Dots, Sandals: Target

Now that I am looking like "EVERYTHING", we take the kids to the park  first. Once playtime is over we start leaving the park, as I attempt to back out, no cars in sight. I  hear a loud "Bang," I hit another car... Damn, Damn, DAMN... in my Florida Evans voice. It was my first car accident, so I was acting like a chicken with her head cut off. However, I am grateful to the Master that everybody was fine, but today I am dealing with all the lawyers calls trying to get there 33 %.  Needless to say we never made it to The Southern Women's Conference, maybe next year.

Vain Moment: In the words of my brother in-law I looked "Pertiful" during the whole ordeal.

                                                   How was your weekend?

Welcome to the Life and Times of Tan O!!

I am Tan which is short for Tanya, and welcome to my loud crazy life. I am a lover of many things, and fashion is on the list. I know that there are a million fashion blogs out there (I read them), but I just wanted to throw my two cents in the collection plate (let the church say "Amen").

I'm a city Diva (New York City) that is, but I currently live in the country "Charlotte, NC." Feeling out of touch with people to talk about fashion, all things over the top, and extra with on a daily basis I decided to start this blog. I wrote a "Things to Do" list before my next birthday and starting this blog was one of the things, so thank you for coming aboard my new journey. Hopefully, we learn a lot from each other and have a great time in the process.

Sit back, strap yourself in, and enjoy the ride.
